August 2009 — "Our group of 6 had brunch at the Irving and we were all very satisfied with both the food and service. 2 people ordered the "senior's breakfast" which included an egg, bacon,ham or sausage, hash browns and toast all for under $4.00. The Tuesday special was all you can eat fish and chips for $11.99 which was more than enough food for a teenage boy! 2 of us ordered the big breakfast which was the same as the senior's breakfast but included 2 eggs and larger portions of the other items. The only disappointing note was that they were out of bacon but substituted a generous portion of ham steak which was delicious. "

July 2007 — "We both ordered a chef salad and when it was delivered my husband mentioned to me that there was no egg with it as advertized.[this was not a featured special but ordered from the menu at $8.99 each. We asked the waitress about this and she checked with the kitchn, returning to us to say they had no eggs.[why weren't we told this before so we could have had a choice of something else]?
Our plates each had a head of lettuce on them[guess this was to cover for the lack of eggs.]
We were very disapointed with the overall meal and expressed this to our waitress who just said well 'no eggs'. Her sympathy was sickening and has turned us off from continuing to patronize this restaurant, especially if this waitress is there. She offered us dessert on the house but that is not a meal nor are we allowed to eat such things, due to health reasons.
When it came time to pay there was no discount on the bill delivered by another waitress as the one for our table never looked our way again not even to take our money. You can besure she got no tip, thanks to her lack of caring.
We sincerely hope this does not happen to anyone else as we feel robbed of our money and the opportunity to eat there again. Our beverage was ice water! but would have had tea after the meal if we had had a meal. I have to go now to prepare a meal at home!!!"
