October 2009 — "We had been in Canada for the past week; and when we got to Machais Maine, my husband wanted a light lunch. We stopped at the Fat Cat, and the veggie pizza was "to die for." I had ordered the corn chowder also, which was soup of the day. We carried out the soup, and tonight we are in Ellsworth Me. We heated the chowder in the microwave, and both my husband and I agreed it was the best soup we have ever tasted... and after all of the wonderful seafood chowders in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Back to the pizza...it was incredible also...the crust was made from scratch. I would love to have the soup recipe to take back to Texas. On top of the good food, the young woman who waited on us was so pleasant; and the coffee was superb...and cheap! You must visit the Fat Cat if you have a chance. "
