February 2012 — "I have tried many Japanese restaurants in Calgary, and I have to say that I was disappointed with Sushi Ginza. The restaurant had really nice decor and good service. I tried the miso soup, tamago, and dynamite roll. The soup was good, but the the rice that was part of my tamago and dynamite roll was really sticky and over-cooked - making the roll a little gooey and sort of homogenized....
My husband tried the lunch special and was pretty happy with his choice, the teriyaki chicken was quite good, and had a different rice served with it -much better than mine."

December 2009 — "Located in Chinook Centre Mall, it’s a convenient place to grab some sushi in between all that shopping. We went there one afternoon for and discovered they served a buffet for $19.99 per person. Thinking that this was not too bad of a deal, we decided to give it a shot. They offered various sushi items as well as rice, udon noodle options and other grill items like teriyaki chicken and steak. I stuck mostly with the grill items as im not a big sushi fan, but the rest of my party were. The steak came out very rough and hard to eat, I had to knaw on it for what seemed like hours before I could force it down my throat. The chicken was also dry and the skin was burnt. I ordered some gyoza dumplings which were not too bad, but overall the food quality is lacking. We would submit our order to him and the waiter would always miss a few items on the list. This caused us to wait not knowing if it was actually coming or not. Price is ok, but I would probably look elsewhere the next time we are looking for sushi."

December 2009 — "My friends and I came here after we discovered that our original choice restaurant was closed for the holidays. I really wish that place was open instead as this place was a bit of a disappointment. This all you can eat sushi buffet was alright. It was lunch pricing of $19.99 which I suppose is a fair price for sushi buffet. I just wish the sushi was better. The service was decent although they did not get a few of the items we ordered. They were prompt with tea and the food took a little bit to arrive but I guess it wasn’t bad considering how many items we chose. I liked that there was plenty of variety so my boyfriend who doesn’t eat sushi was still able to eat as well. They had grilled food such as dumplings and chicken, udon noodles etc. Overall, I might try it again but not my top choice."
