March 2007 — "Signature Palace is one of the few Chinese cuisine restaurants that provide food and service that beats out some of the original restaurants located in China-town. My family has dined at signature palace a plethora of times, we entertain out of town guests and friends at signature palace allot as well. The experience begins with exceptional service by one of the four servers that work the dining area, their English isn't fantastic but they do understand your order very well, especially when it comes to food allergies (such as fish, shellfish and peanuts). The dining area itself is very clean, the table linens are always bright white, and the decor is very authentic. The food is always fresh, and always with no MSG (no need to ask, they just don't use MSG at all). If you haven't dined at a Calgary Chinese restaurant before, be sure to order the ginger beef (there is much skepticism about the origins of ginger beef, most say it was invented in Calgary), Signature Palace's ginger beef is no exception, it is spicy, crispy, and very satisfying. The meal I had in march was brought out within 40 minutes (good service) and most dishes cost under $20. Signature palace isn't located near any hotel, but if you are in the Signature/Signal Hill area of Calgary make sure to stop by Signature Palace."
