August 2011 — "This place has brunch buffet every day of the week for only $15. They have a large fruit selection (pineapple, grapes, apples, pears, oranges, banana, blueberries) and toppings such as cottage cheese, blueberry yogurt, and granola. And of course the buffet also includes bacon, swiss cheese, cheddar cheese, bagels, muffins, french toast, scrambled eggs, eggs benedict with ham or plains, hashbrowns. The highlight for me was the swiss cheese, perfect bacon, and moist french toast with syrup.
Our server was good. He brought tasty coffee when we needed it.
The decor was really cool with that rustic log cabin feel and memorabilia from icons in Banff. There's a really old black and white photo blown up to be a mural and it's a crowd of people watching a man feed a bear in Banff. Probably not the smartest thing they guy ever did....who knows what happened after the photo was snapped. You can let your imagination run wild when you take a look around this restaurant."

May 2011 — "I love the Keg. It is a relaxed casual dinning atmosphere very enjoyable.
The drinks are always cold, the appetizers are tasty and to die for.
I found the waitress to be very friendly and accommodating.
My favorite is the Steak Oscar. It has the best sauce in the world. Real tender steak , done right on the grill by the cook. Large sea scallops on top and shrimp garlic fried. Could there be any other way. And the sauce! Oh! The Sauce!! Also asparagus and served just at the right tenderness.
Their prime rib is excellent also and other steaks. As they are known for their great grade AAA beef for sure.
The meal is served with garlic mashed potatoes. Or you can get their great caesar salad along side or fries, your choice really. My first time at the Banff location. They really don't skimp on anything, really quite under-rated fine dining. Worth a try, a few try's!
A loaf of fresh bread is also served with your meal.
For dessert, may I recommend the chocolate mud pie. Exquisite!

September 2009 — "We went to the Keg for a breakfast buffet on a Sunday morning. Sounds like an odd place to have breakfast, but the Keg Restaurant was in the hotel we were staying at and the buffet looked great. And so it was. There was a huge variety both hot and cold food. The cold food consisted of cold cut meats, cheeses, lots of different fruit, yogurt, granola, cold cereal, juice and pastries. The hot items included eggs, meats, hashbrowns, pancakes and waffles. The food was all very good and seemed very fresh and there was a lot of variety. I mainly enjoyed the cold items, however I did have some hashbrowns and eggs. Mainly because the hashbrowns were my favourite type; the large chunky kind. We also had the option of ordering fresh toast. Although the restaurant was quite busy, the service was still excellent with respect to having our coffee/tea served and our plates cleared from our table before returning back up to the buffet. The restaurant was very casual and appeared clean and in good condition. I would go back to this breakfast buffet when I am in Banff again. "
