January 2008 — "Well as my normal sushi place was not open for lunch, I thought that I would branch out and eat somewhere new. This place is on Banff ave, upstairs above the ski Banff office, across from the information center. They have a great lunch special most of the time, pick 2 items for $10 and that comes with a small salad, miso soup and rice. I had 2 different sushi items and my partners had some different sushi and some extra rolls as well It all is served in a nice combo plate that has the little compartments for each item, The soup came out right away, along with out green tea. Nice and hot with a tiny little blob of tofu in it. The salad was great, a light dressing on it, and fresh with a cherry tomato as well. Rice was topped with black sesame. My spicy tuna was very nice, fresh fish, nice small button of hot sauce on the top of each piece of tuna roll. The salmon was not as nice, but still great, just didn’t have that nice buttery, super fresh taste. Again still nice, but the tuna was better. My companions both had sushi as well, and this ranged from an outsider roll, and non-spicy tuna, and a few of the house rolls. The potions are fine if you just need a light lunch, but this was not enough food for us after a hard morning of skiing. We had to order a few more pieces from the sushi list. All the sushi came fast; service was simple good, and clean. "
