July 2008 — "Went to the Balkan Restaurant in Banff on July 7th. Good Greek food but our server Jay definately made the difference. He recommended the roasted lamb and the roasted lamb delivered. Awesome Kalamari too."

May 2008 — "Boisterous and fun atmosphere. Anyone would feel very welcome here. Mama greets you at the door and you can see that she takes her food and her hospitality very seriously. Our server was excellent too - knowledgeable, kind and always patient, even thought the restaurant was packed and she was very busy. We ordered the "Rocky Mountain Greek Platter" for two ($60). It was way more food than we could eat, although we gave it our best effort. It was a multi-course affair. First came the dips and warm pita. The spicy feta dip was my favourite, while my husband preferred the caviar and potato dip. Both were great and I liked that the platter offered more than the standard greek fare. Next was Greek salad. And then a giant platter for the main course with mousaka, spanikopita, several souvlaki skewers, lamb chops, roast tomatoes, lemon potatoes and rice. We couldn't even think about dessert after that. Will have to try it next time as I will definitely be back."

August 2007 — "I've known the family for a number of years and their restaurant never disappoints. One of the first Greek restaurants in Canada. If you can, try to meet the owners, they're almost always there. Solid Greek cuisine and especially solid hospitality. Go one a Greek night I hear the bellydancing is kickin' it. Arni Psito is the best I've tried."

Choose from a wide selection of Greek favourites, such as saganaki, dolmathes, souvlaki, slow roasted lamb and mousaka or enjoy a Rocky Mountain Greek Platter for a plentiful sampling of their most popular dishes. Greek nights on Tuesdays and Thursdays feature belly dancing and plate smashing, starting at 8:30pm. Open for both lunch and dinner.
