July 2011 — "Any trip to Prince Edward Island requires a visit to one of the two famous lobster supper providers. New Glasgow Lobster Suppers is my favorite. Housed in what looks like a community center, the restaurant offers patrons their choice of main (lobster of just about any size, salmon, roast beef, etc.) and all-you-can-eat salad, bread, mussels, non-alcoholic beverages, and dessert. The lobster is served cut and cracked for easy eating. It’s also served with warm, drawn butter. The fresh rolls also taste great served warm. Surprisingly, the mussels are actually large and tasty, and also served with warm, drawn butter. The dessert choices usually include ice cream, strawberry shortcake, and various pies. At about $30 a meal (for the 1-pound lobster) the dining experience is well worth the sore stomach. Finding the place is easy as any local can point you in the right direction. Available parking is ample. Though there is usually a line at the front door, the wait is not long as the restaurant is able to serve several hundred people at a time."

This restaurant has been serving lobster since 1958. The restaurant has its own lobster pound on the premises. Meals include fresh lobster, rolls, chowder, mussels, salad, desserts and beverages. Open daily from early June to mid-October.
