September 2007 — "On a recent visit to Banff, we decided to stop for lunch at the Old Spaghetti Factory. At lunch time during midweek, the restaurant was not busy and we were seated quickly. The host and servers were very attentive and friendly. Sadly the exceptional service did not make up for the poor tasting food. Our order did appear very quickly but it tasted as though it was pre-made and sitting under a heat lamp waiting for someone to order it. I tried the tortellini pomodoro which was quite bland and almost rubbery. It tasted bad enough that I actually couldn't eat it. The other diners ordered soup and cheese bread which were barely satisfactory. Fortunately, our three year old guest ordered the chicken strips and fries. Everyone ended up sharing this meal as it seemed to be the most edible. While I acknowledge the great service and the thought that perhaps it was a bad day for food preparation, I will not be returning to this restaurant. "
