August 2009 — "Superb ambiance and view. Lovely room slightly hampered by low ceiling and no sound deadening leading to excessive noise. 2 of 6 starters were OK and not to the 10 out of 10 standard of the other 4 (duck too salty and smoked trout too skimpy). 6 main course were all as good as it gets (prime rib (2), tenderloin, halibut, buffalo and child's chicken fingers). All you can eat buffet of excellent desserts, fruit and cheese could not be improved. Service friendly and personal but not intrusive. "

"Spectacular View, Great Brunch"

February 2009 — "The Bow Valley Grill is famous for its Sunday Brunch. I went there with my husband and extended family after my sister’s wedding in Banff. Inside it is decorated like an upscale old world restaurant. The furnishings are very posh and the seating is very comfortable. The views are spectacular. The wait staff were very friendly and quick to seat us. We both had the buffet breakfast. I had coffee which was poured from an ornate silver decanter and was piping hot. I also had an orange juice, as did my husband. The buffet was huge. It took us about 10 minutes to fill our plates. There was everything from crab and lobster to pancakes and bacon. Our food was very good. I had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit salad and cottage cheese. My husband’s plate was piled high with crab, lobster, eggs Benedict, and fresh fruit salad.. We sat for quite a while talking with our family and the waiter topped up our coffees very often. Our total bill was $94.00 including tip. Overall, the food selection, food quality and presentation were very good, but we would go back there for the ambiance and the view. The price was a bit steep, but we would go back for a special occasion. "
