March 2011 — "The Elephant and Castle is located in City Center Mall on 102 Ave. It is based on the look of an English Pub. There are wooden tables and a dart board as well. Beware that there are only three darts and they are all different weights! I decided to have the vegetable stirfry in a tangy sauce. The vegetables were quite firm and although I enjoyed the thought that I was eating healthily, the tangy sauce was not tangy enough for my tastes. The meal came off as edible and healthy, but definitely not memorable. The beer is good though and there are several to choose from. The server was doing her best to keep us happy and even threw a joke our way. If you are in the mood, you can sit just outside the restaurant on a walkway that simulates a sidewalk. You can take a few steps and peer down a couple of levels to the mall below. It is actually quite pleasant as the ceiling is a glass dome. "

July 2009 — "The Elephant and Castle Pub and Restaurant in the City Center Mall in downtown Edmonton is a blend of traditional English pub and North American favourites. It is located on the third floor of the mall but they still have a cute little patio area that imitates outdoor seating. And despite being in the mall it has a very quiet and pleasant atmosphere, which is not easy to find downtown over the lunch hour. The menu offers more than just traditional English fare, including some really great salad options for the summer. The fish and chips were also very good, though a little on the expensive side. A word of warning, the shepherd’s pie was covered in gravy, which was unexpected and kind of disappointing. The service was fast and friendly—we received our meals within about 15 minutes. I’d certainly recommend this place as a break from the hustle and bustle of the downtown."

April 2007 — "The Elephant and Castle is one of the places on Whyte Ave where you don't have to wait in some ridiculous line-up to get in. Sure, you don't get the privilege of having sweaty Emo kids rub up against you, which is fine with me. I went there with some girlfriends and we had a great time. The drinks were stiff, the staff were friendly, the nachos were tasty and the bathrooms were clean. "
