August 2009 — "I went to The Mongolie Grill one evening as a friend of mine highly recommended this restaurant. I really liked the idea of picking your own meat and vegetables and having someone cook your meal right in front of you. It was nice to be able to decide how much of what vegetable you wanted as well as pick a combination of different sauces. I also really enjoyed using the rice wraps to eat my stirfry. I thought the food was great the only thing I was disappointed in were the choice of soups. They only give you two choices and both I found were quite bland and not really hot. I think the soup probably sits in a bowl all day and they just spoon out of that bowl for everyone's soup. Another thing that I found was that it was quite expensive. They weigh your food and if you pile on alot of sauce it will end up costing you a ton of money for your meal; however, after are meals were ready our waitress asked us if we needed more sauces and it was free, so next time I think I will put a small amount of sauce on my meal and then have the waitress get me extra sauce after to make the meal less expensive. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal as well as the service. I plan on going back sometime soon."

July 2007 — "The Mongolie Grill does have very good food, but beware of how much you fill the bowl with. Depending on what you choose, it can get expensive pretty quickly (as you pay by the weight of your bowl). Remember that you get a complimentary bin of cooked rice, so you do not need to take as much food as you initially think. Otherwise the Mongolie Grill is a nice place to eat. "

June 606 — "It's been a while since I went and tried Mongolie gill again, so I just thought that I would share my experience and what I really think of this place. I know that there are a couple of locations in Calgary, but they are all pretty much the same. I think the concept is really cool. You get to add and put anything you want into the dish and put make your own dish specifically for you. The restaurant is pretty much do it yourself, but I just think that it is pretty expensive for what you are getting. You get to pretend to be a pro, but the end result may not live up to your expectations. And that is pretty much what happened. My dish was pretty much that. I felt like I could have easily made it at home for only a fraction of the price. The servers and the cooks were very nice and gave some suggestions, but they were pretty relaxed and just put what you chose together into one dish. I don't' know…. It's alright, but definitely not worth the price tag. "
