December 2010 — "I order my usual the BIG smoked meat sandwich and of course a hot dog with cabbage and a spruce beer.I have been to this restaurant many times, being an ex-Montrealer. The dude at the cash took my money, gave me change and proceeded to make my sandwich. Another young kid started to make my hot dog. Neither one washed their hands. The kid making my hot dog, had on no gloves and was holding my hot dog in a hand that had a very, very old bandaid on such hand. The smoked meat sandwich I got was incredible..if anyone ever ar a real Mtl smoked meat - which this place used to do very good..u know about the smoked meat falling out of the sandwich. Not this time..in fact nothing fell out as I ate the sandwich. I was very disappointed..the decor of Montreal memorabilia could be perhaps a thing that grows..seems the exact same decor the original dude had is still in place. oh..and try to sit there..eat ur sandwich, very loud wrestling on the tv and a radio station playing just as loud..such a shame as I used to love this place. "
