December 2011 — "If you're up for some drinks and some latin dancing, this is your place to go in Calgary. It's always really lively, especially on weekends. I recently went here for a friend's birthday so we had dinner first, but many people show up around 10 when the dancing gets really good. However, if you're female, don't expect to meet your Enrique Iglasius ir anything -- while you WILL get asked to dance, it will mostly be by middle aged, slightly greasy looking men. But you should say yes, because it's just dancing and it's fun (as long as he doesn't try to cop a feel.)
As for the food, it was quite good -- although a bit overpriced if you ask me. They have tapas, which all sounds good but can add up very fast, as well as main dishes. I had some sort of chicken stuffed with cheese and it was very tasty, but very rich. The paella is also good, but my friend had the salmon and it was quite dry. The wine selection is good but again -- expensive. The server we had was pretty slow, but we had a large group so I think it's understandable. "

October 2011 — "One of the worst dining experiences of my life. The menu is comprised of a very limited selection of very mediocre food at outrageous prices. With the mandatory 15% gratuity expect to pay 42 dollars per person (with tax not including drinks).
The service was terrible. The waitress I had spoke virtually no english ( I had to repeat everything I said and physically show her on the menu the item I wanted). One person ordered a Cesar drink and received a cesar salad instead. Everyone had the wrong meal placed infront of them. Half of our party had finished their meal before the other half even received their food. Those who wanted a drink eventually had to get up from the table and order from the bar. The waiters took our plates without asking if we were finished and unannounced reach in between us where we were sitting and took the plates. We had a large party and management refused to split up the bill making paying the bill at the end of the evening quite and en devour with many people having to go make a trip to the ATM.
The music was good, however the dance floor is about half the size that it should be and I found myself bumping into people constantly.
Overall: poor service, average food, high prices. I will not be returning."

November 2006 — "Don Quijotes is a good place to go with a group of friends, which is what I just did on Thursday. They have tapas, lots of seafood dishes, paella and tiramisu and we tried all of it.
Overall, the food was a bit disappointing though. Much of the seafood had a really strong fishy taste to it, like it had sat a bit too long. The paella was soupy at the bottom, and I thought it usually contains saffron, but this one didn't. For the price, I had expected it to be better. The highlight of the meal was the tiramisu, which was excellent, and lots of red wine. Our server was really good too.
I got the impression that most people go to this place to dance and food is really secondary. They played latin pop dance music and there were lots of people up dancing. Everyone seemed to be an excellent dancer, which made it very fun to watch. "
