March 2012 — "I've been to this restaurant a few times over the last few years and I've always enjoyed myself. It's pricey and quite elegant (as in, low lighting and quiet instrumental music), but the experience has always been good. I've heard people complain about rude servers here -- however, I've never had bad service from the waiters although I've gone with a group of girlfriends. The waiters have always been really prompt and friendly to us.
The food is pretty good. I wouldn't say exceptional, but definitely good. I've always had pasta dishes and have never been disappointed. Their wine selection is good and the waiter is always willing to recommend a bottle to compliment your meal. The tiramisu is really quite good.
At the end of the meal, the waiter usually brings us complimentary glasses of Limoncello, a tangy Italian Liquer that really tops off the meal.
One complaint I have is that it's really hard to find parking when you visit this restaurant -- however, that's a complaint that is true of any establishment in Kensington. "

April 2011 — "I recently dined at Osteria having heard the rave reviews. I was not disappionted. I attended for a business luncheon and i needed to make an impression. The service was very attentive, the food was wonderful and teh wine list was extensive. I highly recommend Osteria and look forward to dinning there again."

November 2010 — "I visited Osteria with my wife a few nights ago having not dined there for some time. Upon arrival, i was greeted by one of the hosts and quickly seated. My wife and i enjoyed a lovely dinner. I had the filet, which melted in my mouth while my wife had the grilled seabass whcih she tells me was excellent. I have tried likely every notable restaurant in this City and still consider Osteria to be in a class of itself. I highly recommend this place."

December 2007 — "I personally feel that this is the best Italian restaraunt in calgary, hands down.
The food was sensational. My girlfriend and I immediately fell in love with the place after stumbling upon it while looking for somewhere to eat after a hockey game.
Although some of the menu items are expensive, it is possible to have a moderately priced meal at osteria.
And sometimes, you have to pay for quality.
I will glady. "

August 2007 — "Overpriced for what you get - and for a first time visit - they did not win me over with great service. Ceasar salad was without the ceasar dressing - and no pepper - so pretty bland, although the veal parmisan was good - it was not great - the waiter blamed the kitchen twice (for the salad) and also for "forgetting" what we had ordered.
The desert menu was just thrown on the table - without a word - so needless to say - by then all I wanted was to leave. We had coffee which was bitter. We did get an apologie when we got the bill - guess the waiter saw his tip flying out the window (which it did) At least I was not charged for the ceasar salad - nor were we charged for the coffee - I will not be going there a second time.
There must be better italian place than this in Calgary - so I'll keep on searching."

November 2006 — "We had a wonderful meal. Great atmosphere, service, and the food was outstanding. They charged us $10 for a virgin drink (same price as the wine by the glass) which I thought was excessive, but otherwise the experience was flawless."

March 2006 — "Was not impressed. After hearing a couple of friends say how great it was we decided to check it out. The staff were borderline rude, the place was full of people just attempting to be seen there which was pathetic. The food was alright but not any better than other great italians restaurants in town that charge half, to a quarter the price.
You want a GREAT italian restaurant? Check out Sandro's in the NE. Hard to find but man that place has great food for great prices. Leave this place to the trophy wives and bosses trying to seduce their secretaries."
