September 2011 — "Chianti's on 17th avenue and 14th St SW, is a prime location!
I would expect more out of their customer service.
On every occasion I have received very poor service from each server each time.
This last time we went, we finally decided the food just wasn't worth it anymore to be trading off for bad service.
Our server took forever to bring us menus, this time around, and took even longer to come take even just our drink orders.
We felt like we were fighting with him the entire time, to bring us anything or help us with anything. Our food took an hour, and wasn't fresh. Seemed like it had been sitting for quite sometime. Refills out of the question.
Not only are they overstaffed, they all spend way too much time chatting and messing around than getting down to business.
Chianti's serves "Cheap pasta night" which is now 7.99 per plate on a sun mon or tues all day long
It used to cost $5.99 and the service was a lot better. It has really gone down hill and its just not worth it to go. They had a wide variety of pastas and now I find the menu rather slim. "

August 2010 — "Il Chianti, or Chianti's as I like to call it is a sweet little Italian spot with three locations in Calgary. Good food, good prices. Not always the best Service from the staff if going in for specials but well worth the wait. On Sun,Mon,Tues they have "Pasta nights". Which is there best deal of all. You can order anything pretty much off there create your own pasta, and pick your own pasta, toppings, and sauce. Brilliant! Every time you go, you can basically try something different. It kinda became a tradition of my family's going weekly, for a dinner together. Always reasonably priced, different each time and not having to take care of the dishes afterwards! It is $7.95 per plate which is extremely reasonable for the portion size. Comes with salad and all you can eat hot rolls. There are many many different combinations, you could probably spend a lifetime changing it up every week. I would recommend the "Nocchi" with an alfredo sauce. Nocchi is a potato pasta, and they make it just right at Il chianti. Next time you're looking for a reasonably priced meal uptown check Chianti's out off of 17th ave and 14st S. You wont leave hungry or disappointed and your wallet wont take a beating!"

November 2006 — "I was just there and would rate it 10 out of 10! It is a traditional Italian restaurant with wonderful ambiance and food! I had read many great reviews of Il Chianti and have had many clients refer it as well. I went with an entertainment book and online coupon which they declined to honor! Not the server's fault! Service was wonderful but I just can't give them full marks for not Knowing about Entertainment book/Their own monthly online promotions!
Overall: 9 Recommended: Tiger Prawns wrapped in Veal (Mouth-Watering!!)"
