October 2011 — "The Lido has been in Kensington since I can remember and hasn't changed all that much. They've painted the walls and put up a few nice posters, changed the flooring, and still have the little juke boxes at some of the booths. The prices have gone up of course but they are generally on par with most breakfast places. The Lido has breakfasts, luncheon items and entrees much like you'd find in a small town diner, as well as Chinese food. There is a faint musty odour in the restaurant; the air vents are really dirty (the dirt was so thick it was actually starting to hang out of the vents!) and likely contributed to the slightly unpleasant smell. I ordered coffee, 2 poached eggs, brown toast and hashbrowns for under $7. The food was good, the coffee was so-so (kind of had that watered down taste) and the service was great. I discovered after I ate that the bathrooms were another contributing factor to the slightly odd odour - they are old, and although on the surface clean, could really use a new paint job. The food was fine and the service great, but I'm not sure I can say much about the ambience of the Lido. "
