October 2011 — "A hop, skip, and a jump from the Jubilee Auditorium, the Pho Huong Vi Noodlehouse makes a convenient preshow stop. I ordered the Seafood Noodle Soup. It consisted of lobster balls, shrimp and artificial crab, and of course noodles. Beware that the lobster balls are quite spongy in texture. This seems to be par for the course though, as I have found the same to be true in other Vietnamese restaurants. There were a lot of those lobster balls in my soup. There was also a healthy amount of shrimp and crab. I didn't eat the whole bowl as there was too much food for me. This place seemed a bit fancier than many Vietnamese restaurants. For example, they served their sauces in dainty little stainless steel containers instead of plastic squirt bottles. The drinks were very affordable. For five or six dollars you could have a glass of Jackson Triggs white or red. "

October 2011 — "This Vietnamese restaurant, almost across from SAIT, is a real treasure. The family has done a very nice job of creating a pleasant and artful space with beautiful photographs, glass tiles combined with dark woods, and lots of natural light. Pretty green chopsticks and little vessels marked with both English and Vietnamese offer various sauces. I went for the Chicken Noodle soup and was very pleased with the amount of chicken, the broth and noodles, and of course all of the fixings. The only thing I missed was cilantro - I think there was a bit in there but I tend to like a bit more. The large bowl of soup was $8.95, a great price for the amount of food. Our server was incredibly nice and friendly and was attentive throughout our meal - I had a Tsing Tao Beer as well for around $6. Vegetarian meals were featured, and many different types of fruit drinks. I've tried the Durian - it's very good even though it smells awful in real life (the fruit I mean!). The restaurant washrooms and the restaurant itself was spotless. This is truly a great Vietnamese restaurant in Calgary!"
