August 2011 — "Apple Inn Chinese Restaurant delivers pretty good Chinese food, which is saying a lot after trying many delivery Chinese restaurants in Calgary from which we will never order from again. A dinner for three (that we ordered for two people, in order to get ginger beef for free) was enough food to feed my girlfriend and I for at least three full plates / meals each.
The soup was delicious – very flavourful, and the right consistency, but you could tell they used frozen vegetables. The deep fried eggs rolls, which we opted for instead of the spring rolls for an additional charge, were good as well. They were not the typical prepackaged egg rolls as found in most restaurants, but rather they were hand rolled / homemade. The only downside was that they again used the frozen veggies in the egg rolls. The ginger beef could have used more sauce, but still it was better than other ginger beef I’ve tried. The pepper beef was good, but a little too peppery. The lemon chicken sauce was too sweet.
For a Friday evening, the delivery time was reasonable; it wasn’t overly quick (about 40 mins), considering the restaurant is only three blocks away. Overall, I’m happy to say that we’ve finally found a Chinese delivery restaurant that we’ll call again."

August 2011 — "Apple Inn Chinese Restaurant is the best Chinese delivery food I've eaten at Calgary. Always on the search for delicious take-out, many restaurants have left my expectations very low where Chinese food in Calgary is concerned, but Apply Inn delivers! The prompt service (35 mins on a Friday evening) by the very friendly driver started my experience off right.
We ordered a "dinner for three" which included choice of soup (hot & sour or won ton), chicken fried rice, spring rolls (we upgraded to egg rolls) and of course, fortune cookies. On top of the three main dish choices included in our dinner, we received a complementary order of ginger beef for surpassing a $40 order.
The hot and sour soup was the perfect flavour combination and portion size, and the ginger beef was the best I've eaten in Calgary. You can tell the egg rolls were homemade, and not the standard frozen variety, and they were delicious!
I'll definitely be giving this restaurant a call to satisfy my Chinese food cravings in the future!"
