September 2011 — "We went to this Korean fried chicken place this weekend after reading a rave review from a local food critic. This place was in the corner of Calgary’s version of Korea town. They sell fried chicken, either fried or spicy and was made fresh to order so the food was piping hot. The price for a combo is around $6 which gives you two pieces of chicken, fries and pop. We got a combination of regular and spicy chicken, fries and onion rings, and a pop. Regular chicken, while crispy, was okay. There was no real flavor. The spicy chicken was really good though. We also got aside of daikon included, which is pickled radish (I think). It was a good side dish to add extra crunch and flavor. It was really good and I really enjoyed that. This is not a meal to eat often, but we will definitely be back again."

September 2011 — "Located in a small Korean strip mall just off of 14th st. Olive Chicken is a new fried chicken restaurant that puts an interesting twist on familiar fare.
My friends and I decided to come by here for lunch, and tried out both their standard fried chicken as well as their "sweet and spicy" style. While the standard chicken was extremely crunchy and nicely battered, it was rather dull in the taste department. The sweet and spicy style chicken was the complete opposite, cut and fried in a smaller portion, this is definitely the way to go. The chicken is fried then tossed in a delicious kim-chi based bbq sauce that puts it over the top!
I imagine our meal would not be as good if we didn't eat it on the spot, as the sauce would no doubt have saturated the crispness of the skin. To go with the meal we had a basket of onion rings (which was a major misstep as they were incredibly greasy) and a side of cold, pickled daikon. The daikon was great was it cleansed the palate in between pieces of chicken.
If you're in the area, make sure to try this place out."
