August 2011 — "This place just opened up along 6th Ave SW downtown and it has gained popularity fast. We were lucky to get a table since it's not that big. The decor is as authentic as a samurai. There are swords on the wall, koi fish in the aquarium, attractive black and red tables and lots of other cool decor. Everyone around me around me was ordering sushi so I thought I'd take a chance and get the bacon okonomiyaki ($13.95) which is described as a bacon pancake. My cohorts were half done their sushi by the time my meal arrived but it was worth it. It was shaped like a pizza and was moving. We were all looking at it because it looked alive....moving like fish fins in the water. It was crazy because it lasted the whole time I was eating it. It turns out that there are almost transparent dried fish shavings sprinkled on top and the heat from the pancake was making them move as though there was a wind in the restaurant...it looked like brown flames in a way. The pancake itself was quite greasy from the bacon and the fish shavings were a little over-powering. I couldn't tell if there was more than cheese binding it all together because there didn't seem to be any batter or potato. There was also some cabbage in it which was really good. All in all, I'm glad I tried it but it was pretty heavy for a lunch. There were lots of other things on the menu that I would like to try some day though....it just takes a little bit of courage sometimes. "
