April 2012 — "My first experience at Craft when they first opened was amazing. Lately, and including this last visit, I have found the service took a dive for the worse. If the food and beer selection wasn't so good I don't know if I could bring myself to sleuth a table and spend my evening there on occasion. Their yam fries are delicious, and their chicken sandwich was also very good -- although the bread was smaller than the insides of the sandwich which made for a messy eating session. The fruli was delicious as always but it was kind of awkward drinking it out of a cocktail glass as they ran out of fruli glasses. If you haven't been before, I would say try it out! "

"Beer lovers Haven!"

March 2012 — "I am a huge beer fan, and not only am I a fan of beer, I am a bigger fan of beer that is available on draught. I recently discovered a very unique beer market in downtown Calgary. And I was very excited to find that they had over 50 beers on tap to chose from. They have great specials, and another 150 some odd beers in bottle to try too. Basically you can get unlimited beers, and could go in everyday for a year and try a different beer each day. What a concept wow! For the beer lover I would recommend rounding up your beer loving friends a checking out this hidden gem downtown. A great location for a big event, such as a birthday or bachelor party. Tons of room, and very upbeat, hip and fun. Age range from 20-35 somes. Great location, and even better beers. "

"Good Beer, Good Times"

January 2012 — "Craft is the newest, trendiest place to go in Calgary right now, and while I don't like to follow the crowd, it promised an extensive beer list so I decided to check it out. I wasn't disappointed. The beer list is huge -- the only problem is figuring out what to have. A great option is the sampler, which gives you small portions of six different beers. I had a great time trying out all the different brews. The food is great -- the menu has lots of unique choices as well as usual favourites. I've had the fish tacos, which are excellent, and the mac and cheese, which is just as good but in a different, greasier way. Craft gets quite busy so make sure to get there early. We arrived just before 6 and got the last table there. After nine, it becomes really busy, almost night club-ish without the dancing, but with the line up and the DJ (who looks like Tobias Funke). Still, if you don't mind crowds, it's really fun once it gets busy. "

"Giant Tap Selection and Speedy Service"

September 2011 — "What more can a guy ask for?? Unbelievable beer on tap selection and the fastest service I have ever received. I sat at the bar since the tables were full even after the lunch hour. It took a while to get through the lengthy list of tap beers but they have it organized perfectly by beer type. On the backside of the menu was the food. I ordered the Chimay Triple strong beer and the tuna wrap. As soon as I ordered I went to the bathroom, came back and my food and beer arrived. I couldn't believe it took literally 5 minutes. I asked the server and she said there wasn't many people eating since the lunch rush was over so food is prepared super fast. They also have tonnes of servers and bartenders so you're never left holding an empty pint. The tuna wrap had fresh veggies, crispy noodles and seared sashimi tuna (raw in the middle) so it was like sushi in a wrap. It was awesome and their homemade hot sauce on the wrap had quite a bite. The sweet potato fries came with a great dipping sauce that was like a chipotle bacon aioli. The Chimay beer was to die for even at $9.05 per glass. The decor has lots of rustic wood including the menus which come on a slab of wood. It feels like you're in a brewery with the warehouse ceilings and all of the pipes transporting 120 beers from the kegs to the taps. Check it out during off peak times since it was still be packed but you will be one of few ordering food so it will come promptly."

"Great atmosphre, good improve on service"

August 2011 — "We ended up here on the Civic Holiday as most other places were closed for the day. This is where the Mother Tuckers used to be. They’ve renovated it quite nicely and the decor is really neat. They have these huge pipes that the beer runs through, or so I’ve been told. It’s quite nice inside and very relaxed but cool. For Monday specials, the flat breads and pastas were on sale for $9.99. After looking through the menu, I decided on the spaghetti and meatballs (normally $16). As I’m not a drinker, I stuck with water. We also ordered the Cheeseburger sushi ($11) and onion petals ($9) as appetizers. The appetizers were really good although we only got 6 pieces which were not worth the price. The service though, sucked. The girl was nice and all, but she did not refill drinks until much later. She didn’t come back with chillis as requested until the meal was half done. The spaghetti was not great. It was fine for the specials price, but I wouldn’t pay full price. I’m really disappointed with the service we got, but I think the place was cool so I might give it another try."

"Exciting Menu, Ambience to Match"

July 2011 — "Came here on a busy Friday night, because frankly my friends and I are big fans of any place that serves hard-core Belgium brew on-tap. Needless to say Craft Beer Market puts all the current "Beer Houses" to shame. When you first enter, what used to be the old Mother Tucker's family restaurant, you'll notice a huge number of polished metal pipes that run directly to the large bar in the center of the giant seating area. My friends and I happened to seat ourselves right next to what might be the most impressive thing a beer lover will ever see; It appears as though the metal pipes all lead to a refrigerated room that houses over 100 kegs of premium draught beer. I began the night trying a strong Belgian ale called Gouden Classic. The drink was brought to me in a Gouden Classic glass and was incredible. Frankly, I've never had quite this type of beer that wasn't served in a bottle before. While I would have been happy drinking nothing but this brew all night, I thought that would be a disservice to the rest of the beers available, so preceded to try a "Brooklyn Lager" followed by Craft's own ale. In hindsight I should have stuck to the Gouden, as nothing else could compare to it. By my second pint, it was time to eat. I tried out the dinner-sized Craft Macaroni and Cheese, while splitting an order of nachos with the rest of my party. While obviously the main appeal of Craft is the beverages, the mac and cheese was quite good. Maybe a bit too heavy to go along with all the beer, but still not a bad option. The nachos were served on top of a giant keg lid, and while the presentation was interesting, it took up way too much table real estate to justify. Minor quibbles aside, Craft Beer Market real is something special. Completely disregard this review if you don't like beer, but if you do, make sure to make your way down there as soon as possible."
