June 2011 — "Snow Palace is a fantastic Chinese style restaurant that serves up many different types of cuisines in Calgary's NW. Not a lot of people have been to this place and it's seldomly busy due to its location in a discrete corner behind the prominent Honda dealership in the Crowfoot outdoor mall. The reason that Snow Palace is a great place for Chinese food is because it serves up a variety of authentic cuisine from different regions of China. There is nothing special about the interior and it looks exactly like any restaurant you'd find in Chinatown but the varied menu which includes cuisine from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China is what keeps customers coming back to try something different. I was very surprised at the size and variety of their menu for such a small place. It can be a hard find but well worth your time to search out. "

June 2011 — "Snow Palace is located in NW Calgary. It is more of a traditional northern Chinese food restaurant, meaning some of the dishes are going to be different than what you get at a standard Chinese place. We ordered Duck with Taro, Tofu with Shrimp, and Cashew Chicken. The duck with taro was okay for me. Taro is a bit of an acquired taste. The tofu with shrimp dish was amazing! Each piece of tofu has a portion of ground shrimp on top, and it came in a delicious sauce. The cashew chicken was somewhat standard, but good and fresh. Overall this place was clean, fast, and friendly (but has pretty tacky decor)."
