July 2011 — "Looking for new places to go and trying to hit all the nooks and crannies are not that difficult. The Beef Noodle Soup in the Northwest right across from the James Fowler High School and Northland mall have always just been there and it was only on this occasion that I finally decided to give it a try. I mean, it doesn't look amazing or anything, but I thought what could the harm be. Well, let's just say, you always run the risk of finding less than perfect places to eat. Unfortunately, this was one of them. Although, I guess it shouldn't be that much of a surprised. Upon arrival at the restaurant, you could see that the dining area was pretty small and lacked much character. We ordered some spring rolls and got a plain, bland deep fried rolls and we both had a bowl of noodle soup. It was not very memorable at all. I was not overly satisfied, but thank goodness the lunch meal was not overly expensive, but I think that will be the last time you will be able to get a fee from this customer. "

May 2011 — "Over the weekend when it was cold and raining out, it seemed like the best time for some Vietnamese noodles. We didn't know where to go, so we tried a new place by Northland Mall. My friend and I tried the crunchy spring roll, which was alright, pretty good, but I was surprised to find that it was really vegetarian. I felt a little gypped but the outside crunch was definitely good. For the main course, we tried the satay noodle soup. Honestly, I was really disappointed. It is really hard to find a place that has really good and flavourful satay soup base, and I always go in with the expectation of thick and fragrant satay, sacha sauce, but once again, what I got was a bowl of normal beef noodles with some added hot chilies. I don't know what is more authentic, but I sort of feel like it's pretty effortless to just add some chilies. Aside from that, I thought the servers were nice, but expect to walk into a small and quaint restaurant. It's fine, but save the 50 cents for the satay and add it yourself. "
