June 2011 — "Tucked away on quiet street behind Marda Loop in Calgary is possibly the best little ice cream shop in the planet!!!
I have been going to this place since I was a wee little boy so I think it is very cool that I get to carry on the tradition with my daughter.
It is very close to the off leash dog park where we walk our dogs so after one long hot walk we decided to stop for a treat.
It is set up like an old fashion ice cream parlour. It seriously feels like you are taking a walk through time. They even have a piano that if you play a good tune you can get a scoop for free....or at least that is what happened in the good old days!
My daughter ordered the new favour of Wet Paint. While my wife and I both had Maple Walnut. Creamy, delicious, old fashion fun! Give it a try this summer if you are in the Marda Loop area!"

June 2011 — "The world is not what it once used to be. You cannot find alot of things that we all had when we were young.
I love My Favorite IceCream Shop in Mardaloop Calgary.
It takes you back. Its really a special place to share with your entire family, both young and old.
The prices are reasonable for hard icecream cones in about a hundred different flavors. They also make shakes, sundaes, banana splits, and just about anything made with their famous home-made icecream. The staff are always kind and helpful. Ready to suggest their favorites if you cannot make a choice of your own. Fast friendly. There is typically a very large line up during summer hours on those hot days, they are a very popular spot. But trust me that the wait is well worth it! I will continue taking my daughter as long as they are around. It is these special moments that count. In a world gone crazy, My favorite Icecream shop is sure to bring you back to the "Good Ol Days" !!!!"
