March 2012 — "Big cheese Poutinerie is a great little dive on 17th ave.
Its busy, fast service, with original toppings galore.
You can chose one of the many different types already put together on the extensive menu. Or you can take a try at making your own Poutine creation and pick from a huge list of different toppings, cheeses, and sauces.
My favorite is the porky pig Poutine. Topped with bacon, ham, and sausage. 3 different kinds of cheese, and maple sauce gravy! Potion sizes are quite oversized and can easily be shared between two people.
My wife has had a hard time finishing one of her own.
So we decided to share last time we went, and there was more than enough to go around and to be satisfied with.
If you are craving something salty, and fun little place to grab something quick to eat after a night of drinking, then this is the spot. They are open very late, and serve hot fresh tasty food fast! "

March 2012 — "The Big Cheese Poutinerie is located off of trendy 17th ave SW.
Not much to look at with limited seating available, more of up a walk up and buy.
If you are lucky enough you might be able to snag one of their tables.
They offer burgers, and 20 + different kinds of Poutine.
A must try for the Poutine lover.
You can also chose to make your own, and top with your own favorite combination of toppings. And the combinations are really endless. They have too many to chose from! So you could try something new each time you go.
A great little spot on 17th ave, fun interesting place.
I really enjoyed the service. I felt welcomed, and was helped quickly and thoroughly.
I decided to try the peppercorn beef ranch Poutine and it was beyond good.
Worth the $10.95 I spent on it. Piled high with lean meaty steak, and a peppercorn gravy, and tons of cheese. Peppers, Onions, And topped with creamy ranch.
It was excellent. I will definitely be going again to try something else. Very good. "

October 2011 — "After having really crappy poutine at a movie theatre not long ago it was hard to resist trying some poutine from a real poutine joint. I just so happened to be in the neighbourhood and decided that The Big Cheese looked quite appetizing for a quick lunch bite. The menu was slightly overwhelming due to the fact that there are SO many different options, although quite well organized. I decided to go for the regular traditional poutine and if it was good perhaps move up in the world to something fancier the next time I stop by. The traditional was a solid choice, easily one of the best poutines I have ever had, if not the best. Who doesn't love their poutine with giant chunks of cheese, fresh from the greese fries and gravy that is actually hot? I got the small size and for anyone who isn't looking to gorge I would say it is a safe bet because the portion size is pretty big! "

June 2011 — "We read about this place in a newsletter of some sort. It brags of a ton of different types of poutine. I love fries, I love cheese, so we had to try this place out. The prices are pretty decent considering the amount of food that you get. When we got there, the place was packed. It is still pretty new and I think a lot of people must have read about this place. The line was pretty fast though. I ordered the Pig in a Blanket and it was pretty decent. I have to admit though, it got pretty salty as you get deeper into the meal. After a while, it all just starts to taste like cheese and soggy fries. I was pretty full after we ate it. And I was so, so thirsty from all the salt and sodium intake we just did. It’s not the restaurant’s fault, but I was really annoyed with the people who had finished their meal, and were just sitting there casually chatting while so many people were anxiously looking around for a place to sit. For those people who do that, there’s coffee shops to chat! Give up your seat if you’re done eating and there are people waiting to sit down!"
