May 2011 — "Cafe Ceylon is can certainly be considered one of Victoria's hidden gems. I was in for lunch, and the smell when you walk in is enough for you to know you are in the right place. I really wasn't sure what to expect, as I had never had Sri Lankan food, but this really was nothing short of amazing! I had the house special, which was listed as a Sri Lankan curried chicken with rice, and came with a dhal sauce for pouring over top. Every part of the meal really was great, and left me full but not over stuffed. The rice also had a delicious spicy coconut sauce to use if you wish, and the combination of sweet and spicy made it perfect for mixing in with the rice. My lunch mate had the soup special, which was a curried yam soup, and it immediately warmed the soul. I think our meal together was less than $30, so very well priced for the food you are getting. We were there at a quite busy time of the day, and service was still quick and very friendly. I was raving about it for a few days afterwards, and will certainly be back again soon!"
