April 2011 — "Amato Gelato has been a fixture for its gelato and sorbet deserts in Calgary for many years. Located in a small strip mall on Kensington Blvd it serves some of the tastiest frozen treats in town. The store front is hard to miss with its huge sign. Once inside there is likely the largest assortment of gelato and sorbets in the city to pick from. According to the clerk the store makes over 200 flavours of gelatos and sorbets. It was hard to pick just one. The good thing is once you purchase a ticket for a cup or cone of fresh gelato you are able to sample as many flavours as you like before settling for a big scoopful. There is a flavour for every fruit you can imagine and lots odd and delicious tasting combinations such as peanut butter chocolate. It's a definite must try on the Calgary food scene."
