March 2011 — "This places was really cool inside with zebra print table cloths, tonnes of african artwork, and bathrooms that smell like coconuts and had a psychedelic shiny purple wallpaper. I ordered a Tusker beer (from Kenya) and it was decent tasting and priced at $6.50. We shared the veggie combo $10.99 to start which came with 4 dipping sauces (tamarind, yogurt, mint, and hot). The combo had deep fried cassana root, tempura-like slices of potato, samosa, and some veggie balls. My fav was the potato and root. I didn't like the samosa too much since it was over-spiced. Our main dishes were the halibut masala $19.99 and veggie thali $16.99. The masala came with a halibut steak smothered in really spicy hot masala sauce, potato wedges with a red sauce, saffron rice, three tortilla shells, and dahl which was more like yellow liquid. The dahl is to neutralize the heat of the halibut and it works. This dish was awesome. The veggie thali is a choice of 4 from 6 items. We chose lentils, okra, spinach, and egg plant. It also came with tortilla shells, saffron rice, pickled veggie, and dahl. This dish was amazing. We were so full since we had a big appetizer we could easily been satisfied with just our main dishes. The service was really good and this family run business treated us like they wanted us to come back."
