December 2010 — "I went to try out AJISAI with my friend, which is newly opened up at Pantella Drive for sushi. I was rather excited because restaurant owners seemed to have forgotten about our sushi needs up in the NW, so I especially excited. But they say the higher your expectations, the harder you fall. I was hoping that we had something good going, but I was unimpressed to say the least. Between the lack of selection, the lack of creativity in presentation and the hefty pricetag, this is one patron that will not make their second trip there again. Just because it is one of the only Japanese restaurants doesn't mean that customers will take just anything and pay $2 for a cup of bagged green tea, batter filled sushi pieces that fall apart easily. The one squid/calamari sushi that we had was like a California roll topped off with a very battered piece of minute squid. I go the soft shell crab roll and it was good, but truth be told, everything tasted the same after a while and I was definitely not excited."
