August 2011 — "Even though Varsity Pizza and Subs is located in the same strip mall as another sub shop, it appears that it is able to hold its own. As I ate my sub, there was a continuous stream of customers ordering. It was a bit after one o'clock in the afternoon. The little restaurant is open from 11:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday. I decided to have a 12" Pizza Sub. The foot long was $7 and an 8" was $5.25. It comes with Pepperoni, Salami, and Pizza Sauce. It tasted great and there was plenty to eat. For a bit more than a dollar, I added a can of soft drink bringing the grand total of my meal to $8.10 plus tax. There were ten kinds of pizzas offered on the menu. The least expensive was a 10" Hawaiian for $10.50, and the most expensive was a 14" Greek pizza for $20.00. They come in three sizes, 10", 12", and 14". I enjoyed my sub and was glad to support the little business that has been there long before Subway joined the strip mall. "
