January 2011 — "McRae's Bistro is one of Victoria's newest pub style restaurants that I'm sure will catch on as a popular destination. It caters to all ages and has a natural energetic appeal. You have a choice of fireside tables in the front, a bar area or tables near the back suitable for individuals or larger parties. We were with a group of about 25 and were able to have space reserved for the evening. The staff were efficient, friendly and always available. We had one server overseeing our group for the evening and she made a point of introducing herself to a number of people and letting them know she was available if anything was needed. Seperate bills were not a problem here either. The menu has alot of what you'd expect in a pub environment and more. There seems to be something for everyone whether you're wanting a full plated dinner or a light snack and everything in between. Waffles with whipped cream and chocolate from the all day breakfast menu were a hit with the kids in our group. I enjoyed the veggie panini which was very good and added a greek salad on the side. This was a fun venue, the food and drinks were reasonable, the staff were easy going and organized. We would recommend McRae's to anyone looking for a casual place to eat."
