July 2011 — "My friend and I were craving Mexican so when we walked by "La Casita" we decided it was a sign we should probably have Mexican for dinner. It was really awkard when we walked in however and it was the same restaurant split into two (Indian on one side and Mexican on the other). What was even more frightening was that there were absolutely NO people on the Mexican side. We were really uncomfortable there in the beginning, the menus were very unprofessional, printed on a home printer and slipped into a plastic page protector. On top of that their selection was very limited. At one point we thought we would just leave as it didn't seem worth the money as their prices are pretty steep. We decided to just stick it out and despite all the awkwardness the food was actually quite good and authentic tasting. I am still unsure about how I felt in regards to the overall experience but it was pretty tastey?!"

April 2011 — "This little Mexican restaurant shares a space with Wicked Chili, an Indian Restaurant. First impressions were good - the host was quick to seat us and the server was very efficient and friendly. I ordered a margarita (lime) for $6.50 and reviewed the menu. It is quite a limited menu actually; mostly fajitas, quesadillas, burritos...since I'm not a fan of the soft tortilla, I had a choice of 3 tacos with beans and rice, or the chicken breast with mole sauce (there were two steak entrees as well). I chose the chicken mole for $18 - it was pretty sparse. One small breast with a dollop of pureed beans and a sprinkle of rice...hmmmm...not quite what I expected for $18 buckeroonies (not including the GST). The chicken was tender and the sauce delicious although there was so much it was like a pond around the breast. Too bad there wasn't more rice to sop it up. My husband had the quesadilla (3 all different) and they looked terrific - I'd try that the next time I think. The space was small but cute, and while it was clean in the restaurant, it was even cleaner in the bathrooms. If you have a big appetite (or even a normal one) I'd personally stay away from the chicken mole and go after the other dishes - glancing around the room they seemed significantly bigger than mine."

April 2011 — "Food is good, but service is the worst possible that I have ever seen. We had to wait for 20 minutes before someone came in to take the order - in fact, we had to call the server to take the order. After waiting for 1 hr 15 minutes, the food was served. It was the same situation on every table. People from two different tables left after having drinks as they were not served food for more than 1 hr. Very disappointing, won't go back there again.
Bathroom was dirty."

This is a Mexican Restaurant in the heart of 17 Avenue SW (Uptown-Red Mile). It is romantic and very cozy – casual restaurant. Chef is directly from Mexico City. This restaurant has Mexican Buffet during lunch time (11am to 2pm). Famous for its margarita, tacos, burritos etc. Restaurant is full of Mexican arts; all hand drawn. And it has enough parking at the rear.
