December 2010 — "Sushi Hanami is a popular restaurant, particularly at lunch hour. I've tried to get in a couple of times (it's close to Mount Royal U) and couldn't so we tried for a later afternoon meal. The little place is very nicely laid out and has a comfortable feel to it; nice decor, friendly servers and enough space between tables that it doesn't feel too cramped. I had the Vegetarian Sushi Bento Box, a nice mixture of California sushi, deep fried Tempura yams, Edamane Beans, seaweed salad, and of course a small bowl of miso soup for 12.95. My friend approved of a menu who is Japanese and knows her stuff...I think the prices are decent, although I know of a few restaurants in Calgary with good friend and are less pricey; not sure as I'm not usually much of a Japanese food fan. I like the space and I like the presentation of the food and it seemed as though I got a lot of food for my money. The washrooms are very very clean - the only downside is the place seems to close quite early (it was 8 pm and the staff were turning people away). "
