November 2010 — "It's really hard to beat an amazing burger, so I am always on the lookout for great new places. I noticed Giant Hamburgers on 17th Ave and made a note to take my girlfriend there. It kind of has the feeling of a diner. There are simple booths for eating and the atmosphere and decor make it clear that the main focus is the great food. All items can be ordered individually, or you can order your burger as part of a combo. They have fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings and poutine. I ordered the single cheese burger combo with a poutine instead of fries. The food was really really good. The only complaint I have is that some of the cheese curds on the top of the poutine were still cold and not even close to being melted. Other than that, everything was delicious. The price was definitely reasonable for the quality and the burger was truly hard to beat! If you like good old fashioned burgers and fries, try Giant Hamburgers! Next time I will have to sample a milkshake. "

November 2010 — "Giant Hamburgers is located on 17th Ave and 28 St SW, and though I have driven by there a thousand times, I have never tried it. I ended up there for lunch with my boyfriend and was quite impressed with the meal! I ordered the 1/4 lb Mushroom burger meal which comes with fries and a small fountain pop. Everything was great! The food took a fair bit longer to prepare than fast food places, but was worth the wait! It was pretty busy in there too. The fries were served in a bag and were more like steak fries...nice and thick and really crisp. Delicious! The burger was huge and covered in fried mushrooms and melted swiss cheese. No complaints whatsoever. There was so much food, I could hardly finish. At $7.99 for the combo, I thought it was a great deal as you pay nearly that for a fast food combo and the quality isn't half as good. I will definitely be back to Giant Hamburgers!"
