November 2010 — "Craving a donair, I drove down International Avenue (17th Ave SE) in Calgary looking for a spot. I noticed a lawn sign advertising Donairs and subs at this place called Kinh Do. When I pulled into the mini strip mall, I did have some trouble finding the place, but eventually found it tucked in an indented portion of of the building. When I went inside, it was a small little establishment with a few small tables to sit and dine. However, I get the impression that most prefer to order and take out. Having the craving for a donair, I noticed that they had three sizes, small, medium and large. I opted for the large donair. The lady working there asked me if I wanted the standard lettuce, tomatoes and onions on the donair, which I happily agreed to. She also offered up some hot sauce, which I also agreed to on a limited basis. When I saw her go into the fridge to get the container of meat, I wondered to myself "what have I got myself into". However, keeping an open mind, I quietly waited for my donair to be prepared. The individual who I paid ( a different person) lacked any form of personality. All he said was "seven fifty". I proceeded to pay him, and did not hear any type of thank you, or any other acknowledgment. Nonetheless, I grabbed my donair and went back to the office to eat it. I have to say, the donair tasted pretty good, and worth the $7.50 I paid. Perhaps next time, I might try the vietnamese subs they also have on the menu. Don't go to this restaurant if customer service is required. But if you are looking for a quick bite, and a decent donair, it might be worth trying."
