October 2010 — "I hadn't been to Big Al's in many years, but recently went for wings at lunch out of sheer convenience. Upon entering the bar, we took a seat in a booth next to the window and I was pleasantly surprised to notice that the interior had certainly had a facelift since I had last been there. Our server came to the table and what a grouch! She didn't even crack a smile and said no more than necessary, just "What can I get you?". When we told her what we would like to drink she scowled and walked back to the bar. When she returned with our drinks, she didn't say anything so we just told her we wanted some wings - hot wings and salt & pepper wings. She left again and we decided to ignore her attitude and enjoy our drinks and conversation. She returned shortly later with the wings and they were actually pretty good.They were meaty and not too greasy and the carrots and celery that accompanied them were fresh and crunchy. Overall, the food was decent, but the service was pretty bad. I might go back sometime out of convenience, but I think I'll try not to."
