February 2012 — "Jing Jing Noodle shop is a place I have been curious about for quite a while now. There is little signage in their tiny and dimly lit store front in a far corner in Chinatown that I was not sure if there had even been a business running. It is a lot less busy than some of the other popular restaurants in Chinatown. Their opening hours are also a bit odd and typically closed very early in the evenings. A friend and I decided to try it out when we saw it was open on an early weekday evening. It is a small restaurant as typical of restaurants in Chinatown and the seats were a bit squished together. The good news is that the food here was delicious and cheap to boot. We decided to try the noodles since it is part of their name and were pleasantly surprised by the great tasting noodles for a bowl at around $6. Our service hardly spoke a word of English but was nice enough and we were able to point to what we wanted. Worth a try if you catch it during opening hours."

"Your average Cantonese fast food restaurant"

September 2010 — "Jing Jing Noodle is located in a convenient place in Calgary's Chinatown. I tried this place for the first time over the lunch hour on a Friday. The service was really friendly and overall pretty good even though they did forget all our drink orders. There are hundreds of menu items, typical of most Cantonese fast food restaurants. The restaurant itself is an average size and more or less what'd you expect from similar restaurants. The food was OK. I ordered a curry chicken that came more or less luke warm and a Hong Kong style milk tea. The portions are a fair size and quite filling. The food arrived pretty quickly so it's a good lunch option if you're in a hurry to get back into the office. This restaurant was nothing special but I would definitely come back if I'm in the area and in the mood for some Chinese food."
