August 2011 — "The kitchen is very slow, always. I love visiting CHOP for dinner but it's always been such a long dinner every time we eat here. I like it because the atmosphere is good. The dining room and the lounge upstairs both have very posh and modern look. The music selection in the lounge isn't too bad. I had a cup of Baileys and my partner also another cup of Baileys. The baileys here is very watered down. It's definitely not one you want to order again. The top sirloin here wasn't too bad. They managed to cook it to the right medium rare. I have experienced sending back three steaks because they would not cook it to the right medium rare. The creme brulee here is so-so. The chocolate bisquit cookie you get is way too hard to bite. I do like their decor though. I find it relaxing after a long day or long weekend."

December 2010 — "On a recent visit to Chinook Centre, a group of us were looking for a place to eat and were surprised to see that two of the restaurants we usually go to were gone. Everywhere else was extremely busy with 30 minute waits so we ended up at Chop. We were in a bit of a rush so we didn't want to do the whole steak dinner thing so we ended upstairs in the lounge. It was pretty nice in there. Our server greeted us right away and took our drink order but it was a bit of a challenge to try to get a menu. In fact, when my wife asked her for one she said she'd try to get us one. A few minutes later this guy that works there asked us if we wanted menus and my wife said she was dying for a menu. It was weird that the server couldn't get us any because they were just a couple feet behind our table?! Since we were in a rush I ordered just a couple kinds of wings - Bourbon and hot. They were presented nicely on a couple of skewers. They were pretty good. Overall, the experience was ok. The server became much more attentive after the guy offered us menus, almost as if she had gotten in trouble - she kind of made too much of an effort. Overall, I'm not sure I will be back. The atmosphere was a little pretentious and the service was weird."
