September 2010 — "I made a point of going back to try out the Wonton King because I was around the area for work and from the name, I just expected to be blown away with their filing and wraps. I must say, I was rather disappointed. The Wonton King is located very close to to Ikea, 7800 30 St. SE. Even when I was really feeling a bit hungry, I feel like the meal and the portion was just not satisfying. Not enough at least. The bowl of wonton soup was okay, but not the best that I have ever had. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't go out of my way to go back. I guess I expected the wonton to be filled with a mixture of meat and seafood and just full of flavour, but I got some very finely minced meat that was good, but not the best. I don't think it's King worthy, but it generally should be within budget. If you are not in on the wontons, they also have an array of different asian dishes to try. "

A subsidiary of the famous King's Restaurant in Calgary's northeast industrial park, Wonton King now has several locations throughout Calgary. Ordering won ton soup is a must and unlike other establishments, they have a several variations to choose from. Chinese combo meals and a la carte dishes are also available such as ginger beef, barbecue pork, garlic ribs and more.
