July 2010 — "Driving between Nelson and Vancouver there are a good number of places to stop but this little cafĂ© in Rock Creek was a little gem. We had seen it as we drove out to Nelson because people were sitting outside eating ice creams and I decided it looked like a good stop on the way back. It is in an old building and looks pretty rustic. In side is a casual jumble of gift items that range from hessian coffee bean sacks (of which we bought one) to Ramon nut flour for baking. We ordered a tuna sandwich and the lady making them asked if we were sharing it. When she brought it out she had separated it onto two plates each with four pieces of watermelon and a small coleslaw like salad. It came on bread that had a pumpernickel swirl through it. We sat inside at one of just three tables and thoroughly enjoyed the beautifully presented and tasting lunch. The iced coffees we ordered encouraged us to buy some ground organic, fair-trade, decaf coffee to take home with us. We will for sure be stopping here again as we pass through Rock Creek."
