March 2010 — "Podium is the sport pub that Victoria has been waiting for! My friends and I ventured out to watch the hockey game and were so happy to have found a table at such an awesome establishment! The red and white was everywhere and the place was sold out. With big screen TV’s everywhere there wasn’t a single set of eyes that could not see the game – the atmosphere was perfect! In addition to the TV’s, sports memorabilia are all over the walls; however, it is done in a tasteful way that just adds to the environment. During intermissions, I was incredibly impressed when the owner got on the microphone and continuously thanked his patrons and cheered on his team! He even gave away an official team jersey that was won by my friend – very cool! In addition, it was awesome to see him behind the bar helping his staff. I have to admit that I was very skeptical about the service considering they had over 200 guests, but I was very wrong. The servers did an amazing job bringing food and drinks out incredibly quickly. Of course my table had to order nachos which were delicious – the first time I have ever had nachos that were not greasy! Tons of fresh produce, cheese and condiments – great value for our money! And again, incredibly efficient service. The burgers were also huge and very well made. Podium is the perfect place for sports enthusiasts to relax, have a beer and cheer on their favourite team!"
