May 2011 — "Every since I worked for a few months in Paris, and then few trips back for holidays, I compare all croissants to the quality I experienced in Paris. No other places in town has the quality of their croissants that are close to what I eat in France except Yann Haute. Nice and crunchy and soft and buttery inside. I also love their almond croissant: I it a cross between French croissant and Hong Kong Gai Mei buns. Very delicious and recommended."

May 2010 — "I was on a mission to find the best macarons in Calgary so before finding about Yann, I have been to places such as the Calgary farmer's market and Nectar Desserts in Inglewood. When I reached the small but bright yellow house of Yann, I stepped into a very very warm room where all the macarons and pastries were displayed. They had 9 different flavors of macarons that day and I got one of each. Yann's macarons were more crispy than chewy (I know some people like the outer layers to be chewy - then you should go to the farmer's market) and they had interesting flavours such as PBJ, tarte tatin, mint chocolate, passion fruit, rose litchi and dark chocolate cherry. I have returned after my first visit (one week later) and they had new flavors for the macarons. Aside from macarons, I also got the vanilla custard pastry made with croissant dough. The pastry was just right-light and not too sweet. If you are buying macarons as a gift, they have these really nice cylindrical wooden boxes. "
