December 2011 — "Went 2 hours before having to be at the movies and missed the first few minutes of the movie as the service was soooo slow. Customers that arrived after us were being served before us. Our food did not come out as ordered. We didn't send it back as by the time we got it we had to shovel it down so didn't have time to get what we ordered. Apparently were supposed to get garlic bread and ceasar salad with our pastas and never received that portion of the meals. There were only four of us and two different bills. Bills came out as four seperate bills and were completely wrong. One portion of the couples starter was on my bill and the other portion of the same appetizer (an addition cost for cheese dip) was on my husband's bill. We just paid it as again didn't have time to wait for the mistakes to be corrected."

"Great Pizza!"

October 2010 — "This pizza chain has finally ventured into the Canadian frontier and opened their first restaurant in Red Deer. Judging from the crowds that eat there it has chosen the ideal location. I love their pizzas - thin crusted and loaded with fresh ingredients. They are wood fired on the premises and you're welcome to go back and watch them cooking away in the huge brick ovens. My favourite on the menu is the "My Generation" pizza which is a thin crusted pizza with a layer of their special white sauce and topped with roast chicken, garlic and onions. Their "Meaty Beasty" pizza is also good and is a carnivore's dream. The menu has a good selection of pasta dishes and wraps and their beer battered fries are absolutely delicious. This restaurant also features their own brews of beer and I found that the Blonde Bombshell brew was a perfect partner to most pizzas. The Rock offers a lunch time buffet during the week and I found that at around $10 this not only good value but a chance to try out some of the other pizzas on the menu that I wouldn't normally order like one with artichokes and other unusual toppings. The place has a quirky rock music decor and my only complaint is that it's very noisy and hard to carry on a conversation. Other than that service is good, food is good, and rest rooms are clean and tidy. This place is very popular in the evenings and on weekend nights there's usually a long wait. But it's worth it in the end. "

June 2010 — "Went there while in town on business on the advice on of a client. The restaurant was very busy so I chose to go to the lounge. It appeared that only two girls were serving the whole area. I found a table and waited about 15 minutes before someone came over to ask me what I would like. She did apologize for the wait which was nice. I ordered a salad and a 9" Crazy Train pizza. The salad looked like something someone poured out of a bag and was very small - even by restaurant standards. I waited at least an hour to get my pizza. It was pretty good - not as hot (spicy) as I like them but still good. Two beer, a side salad and a 9" pizza - $35.00 before tip. I'm not real picky because I do eat at a lot of restaurants but I do have an issue with value and service for the price. I can put up with a so-so meal but when I have to wait that long for a meal I know I can find something better. It didnt live up to the hype."

BulletDescription

At The Rock, patrons can bite into gourmet wood fired pizzas topped with tomato sauce or white cream sauce and plenty of fresh vegetables and meats. Along with an extensive menu with pizzas, burgers, chicken, pasta, calzones and more dishes, the restaurant also offers a large drink list with microbrews and rocktails.
