July 2011 — "Italian Food Imports on Blanchard is a quaint Italian boutique café. I would notice how busy this place was at lunch time and made it a point to visit before the lunch time rush. I would suggest going before noon, as the lunch crowd pre-orders and the line up is sometimes outside of the café. So you know it’s good. The atmosphere is casual and the staff is very welcoming, my friend and I walked in to view the menu and there were two staff that greeted us “Hello, how are you?” and then we continued to read the menu. They offer a variety of fresh sandwiches, Panini’s, salads and soups. The cafe also has a section of dry goods specialized in Italian foods, I now have a place to get roasted red pepper paste. My friend and I shared a delicious daily Panini and the Tuscan bean salad; both were so fresh and delicious! I loved the Tuscan bean salad, and have been back. If you are looking for a hearty lunch, I would highly recommend the Italian Food Imports. "

Arguably the best meatballs in Victoria are found at Italian Food Import, a local sandwich shop. Sandwiches are made to order and feature a choice of breads and spreads that are made from scratch. They are also a deli and small grocery store and carry olives, mustards, coffee, oils, pastas and antipasti.
