May 2011 — "Foo Asian Street Food located on Yates street has fantastic quickly and fresh Asian cuisine at great prices! I was recommended by some co-workers to try Foo and I called ahead so that I could pick up my order to go. When the staff answered the phone, she was so friendly and took my order with easy. The restaurant is a cozy spot and has a few tables inside and a few tables on a small patio to enjoy the sunshine. When I arrived twenty minutes later, my order was ready and I was greeted by the chefs behind the line and the woman who took my order was at the counter with a smile and she welcomed me warmly. I ordered the Carmel Chicken which was amazing! It is crisp chili caramel glazed chicken, fresh ginger with Chinese greens with steamed rice. I had enough for left over’s so you can share with a friend, or order a few things to share, I hear the octopus salad is another signature dish, I’ll be back to try it soon. I have to say again that the staff are very friendly, genuinely nice and happy. "

July 2010 — "It was the first time hat I have been to “Foo”, a small Asian style to-go restaurant on the corner of Yates and Blanshard, and I loved it, I can’t wait to go again! The staff are very friendly and prompt, and there are a few tables outside and around the windows that you can stay and eat your meal as well. I ran into an old friend of mine who said that she recently had to ‘cut back’ because she was coming so often.. I had the green Papaya Salad, it was so delicious and fresh with quite a bit of spice, which I love (if you are not a spice lover then I don’t know if I would recommend this restaurant). My fiancé had the Chicken Curry; it was served to-go with a bed of rice as well as fresh veggies and a lot of chicken. He loved it, cleaned the plate when we got home. The other menu items were sounding so delicious also, they have a caramel chicken that has a great reputation and I am looking forward to going back to try it. The atmosphere was great, the place was clean, and the food was great, what more could you ask for?"

July 2010 — "Foo is a relatively new asian food take-out shop on Blanschard, near the movie theaters downtown. They have obviously trying to soak up some of the Noodle Box love that our city has... and it has worked.
Being a Noodle Box lover, I was very happy with what Foo had to offer. They are doing Asian takeout, but seem to go a few steps further than Noodle Box in that they have a few more creative dishes. Most of the NB dishes seem to have a Thai and Malay influence, and here I had a Indian curry that was fantastic. It also didn't seem quiet as heavy, and I didn't have to spend the next hour laying on my back before I go do anything. (I tend to overeat then pay the price with great food I love).
They also have some very nice salads, my wife had a green papaya salad which was very fresh and delicious. The chefs clearly take great care in their food preparation, and it shows in their dishes. The true review is whether I will go again before returning to NB, and I think I will..."

DescriptionOne of their most popular dishes at Foo is the Vietnamese ginger caramel chicken and is a definite must try. The menu is Asian fusion with many other interesting dishes representing the cuisines of Thailand, Japan, China and Vietnam.
