October 2010 — "I was craving for pho and this was the closest place near my house. Just hearing the name of this place already made me think of fusion (not a big fan of) and when we sat down to look at the menu, the dishes definitely were not presented with their typical Vietnamese names. However the food was actually pretty good and the spring rolls were thinly rolled (extra crispy that way) just the way I like it. The price for pho was average (about $10 a bowl), maybe on the high side of average. It's also quite a popular place as the place was near full when we went there. "

August 2009 — "Phobulous is a fairly new addition to the University of Alberta area and a great addition at that! It is a bright Vietnamese place with nice decor. The menu is full of delicious choices. The appetizers are yummy and the vermicelli bowls are very good. The food quality and the size is adequate to the price. The service is quick and pleasant. We always come back to this place for a quick and delicious place! Definitely recommend it. "
