February 2010 — "This bustling family restaurant is located in downtown Edinburg on Closner. It was recommended to us by local residence and it proved easy to find on the main street. Their parking lot was full but there was ample parking on the street. There is a variety of American and Mexican items on the menu. A mild salsa and tacos were served upon our arrival, compliments of the restaurant. Specials were offered each day of the week. I had their "Fried Fish", which was talapia, served with rice, salad and french fries. It was too much food for me but it was very tasty and I did enjoy it. My husband had "Chili Rellano", which was a green pepper stuffed with ground beef and smothered with cheese and baked it the oven. This dish also included refried bean and rice. He thought that his meal was excellent, tasty, and well presented. The service was prompt and friendly and the premises were clean and tidy. It was worth the drive to Edinbug and we have already recommended Vaqueros to others. "
