January 2010 — "Banh Mi #1 is a new Vietnamese sub and vermicelli take-out deli located just off of Center Street next to the New Asia Shopping Centre parking lot. The name suggests that the subs are the best but having tried two different subs from this place, I think the subs are a far cry from being #1. This doesn't mean that they are really bad but they can definitely be improved upon. The subs are a decent size and very decently priced. But what makes the subs below par from other Vietnamese sub stores is that the subs are always quite cold inside, doesn't seem toasted on the outside, never cut in half (so be sure to ask) and there's a funny after taste in the assorted sub. I think if this place fixes the cold and toasted issue, that will be half of the battle. The wonton soup at this place is delcious and piping hot. They also offer a small selection of bubble tea items you can order that's not bad. I would go back if they improve their subs."
