December 2010 — "I would not recommend visiting O Restaurant and Lounge.... The customer service was terrible.
My steak was very overcooked and when I asked to have it remade, the server roller their eyes at me, and brought it out about 25 minutes later. Everyone at my table was finished already and I hadn't even started! No management came over to talk to me, or apologize or anything! Does management even exist at that place? I never saw them helping out the servers or even on the floor?
A simple apology would have been nice, but no one even did that! We will not be back to this restaurant, and will certainly be telling everyone we know about our experience there!"

November 2010 — "Looking for a chic dining experience?..O restaurant fills that need. My girlfriend and I sampled a variety of appetizers while sipping on a glass of Malbec. Classic dishes done with a twist. Alberta sushi, can't get enough of! Perfect for an outing with the girlfriend, casual atmosphere and attentive staff!"

January 2010 — "Now THIS great little restaurant offers some creative alternatives to the traditional fare. I was there for dinner with family and had a wonderful time and so I decided to take a friend. In both cases I enjoyed my food. I started by sharing the west coast mussel and frites with white wine, leeks, parsley and alioli ($15). Yum! The mussels were cooked perfectly. The entrees ranged from lamb, beef, chicken, tuna, and vegetarian so I chose the a vegetarian pasta, a hand rolled lemon and chive gnocchi for $19. The presentation was very pretty and the dish was tasty. However, I found I tired of it after a few bites as it was quite a heavy dish and next time I think I'll try the salmon or tuna dishes. Our waiter was fantastic - she had a great sense of humour and really made sure we were taken care of. The atmosphere was contemporary and lively and it actually felt like we were 'out on the town'! A funny thing to say, but anyone who has lived in Calgary for a long time will understand how great it is that restaurants are cropping up with some character. By the way, there is a WONDERFUL selection of wines! I definitely would recommend this restaurant - be prepared though; it is a little pricey but the service and ambience make it very worthwhile."

January 2010 — "We were taking my wife's parents out to dinner and decided to have it at O Restaurant Lounge in Marda Loop. None of us had eaten there, but we had heard they had good food and service. The really nice thing about it is that if you're dining there you can park in the parkade right underneath the restaurant for free. There is an elevator that takes you right to the reception area of the restaurant. This was nice since parking in Marda Loop is very difficult at times. The atmosphere was much like Earls, but much nicer. Dark, TVs playing sports above the bar, really upscale casual. We started with some beers on tap - they have a pretty good selection, then each chose an atmosphere. I had the bison flatbread and it was delicious. Others had mussels and the onion soup and thought they were delicious. Although the menu is filled with tantalizing entrees, I chose to have the burger. I had heard it was good and it did not disappoint. Others had the vegetarian pasta, the lamb and the steak. No one complained. The service was top-notch, she was always there making sure we were okay. My wife wanted dessert and they brought out a tower thing with desserts in it that you just take right off the tray if you want it. She had creme brulee and seemed to enjoy it. The wine list was also extensive and we had a nice malbec. We were definitely impressed and I am sure that we will go back sometime soon."
